As you know, in November, 1999, I joined CareerLab as co-founder of The PhysicianCareerNetwork. During my tenure, we gained national recognition as the go-to authority for MDs wanting to improve their careers. We’ve had physician clients in all practice specialtiesfrom anesthesiology to radiologyand in all 50 states. At any given time, there are about 25 MDs in our programs.
In the process, I’ve identified a new career opportunity. In January, 2006, I'll begin a fellowship at the Hospital for Special Surgery (www.hss.edu), located in New York City. As you know, HSS is one of the world's foremost orthopedic teaching institutions. I'm very fortunate to have landed this opportunity. Following fourteen months of retraining at Hospital for Special Surgery, I will be able to recertify with the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and return to clinical practice "on top of my game". I will continue to consult to The PhysicianCareerNetwork but the daily, on-site management of our career services for doctors now lies in the competent hands of Mr. Bill Frank (CareerLab’s founder). You may reach Bill at 303-790-0505 or wsfrank@careerlab.com. One of the things I’ve learned during previous transitions is the importance of staying in touch with friends and professional colleagues. Thank you all for your support, interest and encouragement. I look forward to staying in touch with you. If I can ever be of assistance, don’t hesitate to contact me.
Warmest regards,
