Clinton D. Jones November 3, 19-- Mr. William S. Frank Dear Bill, I have begun to market myself as a personnel manager on a permanent part-time basis to small firms (25-75 employees) in the greater metro area. I am open to any type of organization or industry, but I prefer professional firms such as: Law Should you be aware or become aware of any of your business associates, friends, or acquaintances who may be considering the need for a part-time Personnel Manager, I would appreciate your giving me their names to contact personally. Any assistance or suggestions that you can give me will be appreciated. Your friend, Clinton D. Jones |
| Author's Note: Some people don't ever want to work full time. Clint
Jones is one of them. (So is Nancy Thomas, the attorney whose letter appears
on page 21.) Clint does a good job of telling his friends exactly what
industries he wants to be involved with. Don't leave people guessing what
you want to do. Target a specific market. Make some decisions about where
you belong and communicate those decisions to your support group. It's
a big mistake to keep your options too open.
